Knoppix V3.3 2004.02.16Finally a distro of Knoppix that works on my dell 5150. I had been struggling for sometime to find a bootable nix distro that would work with my laptop. Being a Linux newbie I wanted to test drive a few on my laptop before I committed (sorry I have commitment issues). So I would peruse message boards hoping for an answer, but it seem there was none in sight (minus a few remasters), but I wanted the real deal! Then out of no where I see posted on the Knoppix board that this new version works by simply using the cheat code "Knoppix nosmp" I hurried to the nearest bit torrent and downloaded away. I burned it to a cd and with baited breath I waited to see if finally my 5150 would pop up with that cute little penguin.... Success! Now I have used Knoppix before, but this was a new day! Of course Knoppix is itself a great complete distro, but some how it just seemed more complete when I was running it on MY Laptop! How To Have More Than 128Mb of Swap?
