Mdirs
MDIRS started in 1992, as a single page document listing directory
structures. It was derived from Unix System 5 Administration documents.
The document included additions of user managed volumes under /u or /u1
directories.
Rewriting of MDIRS began in 2004, to produce better sharing of
resources, over traditional directory structures, between a network
server, satellite stations, and stand alone
workstations and laptops, and to create better provision for a
