During my Highschool days, I've been using computer as a hobby. I started using DOS, I can still remember the day that I am using lotus from the computer lab in my school, on that time I don't own a computer and I ask my father to bought me a computer since we have a lot of projects in school. And the computer arrive for long days of annoying my father to bought me a computer, actually it's a pre-installed Windows Operating System. I am using it to surf the internet and for my projects, then while surfing the Internet I found a word which is Linux, I ask my self what Linux mean in the world of computer. But then I found out the Linux is an Operating system created by the famous Linus Torvalds. I am interested on having a RedHat Linux operating system and it takes me while to get a copy of it, since I am using only 28.8 kbps modem. It was hard to find RedHat Linux Operating System here in our Country. And met a friend who really introduce me to the system and gave me RH 6.0. Without reading the Linux-Install-HowTo, I was so excited to install the system. I throw the CD into the CD Rom and tried to install for a couple of Hours, I am having a hard time to install since I don't have any ideas on how to install. After several hours of installing it, a graphics display Red Hat 6.0 with a picture of Red Hat, that I know I did install the RedHat Linux. I was so happy that I did it. I tried to explore things, and I said this system is really not for end-user. So I surf the Internet and study hard about it, then I learned the basic commands even if I am using windows I always accidentally use the linux command. I said to my self this Operating someday will rock the world, I found the RedHat is very usefull operating system and it has a lot customization that suites the users need. I feel so proud when my classmates ask me what's up to you right now, and I replied to them I'm studying a new operating system which is Redhat Linux Operating 6.0. and they don't know what is it. Now I am working in a company that uses RedHat Distro System, and the hardworking installing Linux hours are paid off. Now I am a very successfull person as a Computer Technical Support Engineer in Linux to our company. I am proud of it. Thanks to you RedHat.
