One of the most important problems that a new linux user finds is the way of installing and using of any linux distribution. Some disitributions like Mandrake Linux meant the easy-install of a linux distribution. The best effort for making linux easy to use is, from my moint of view, Knoppix. The only thing you have to do is to insert your knoppix cd and reboot your machine. After 2 o 3 minutes you have a full and very complete debian-based linux. With all programs you should need (an mp3 player, a complete Office Suite, etc.) I would like to tell you that installing knoppix in your hard disk is as much as easy as typing knx-install. Congratulations to those script developers, at this moment anyone can enjoy a linux distribution, without having special knowlegdes. Why Are My Programs So Large?
