Kernel 2.6, as with mdk 10 , 10.1 will keep the current kernel but apply latest patches and bug fixes. I don't think we will see a big improvement on speed but they will certanly get rid of the problems being reported. I think 10 was a big step for mandrake, we got new kernel , new X , new KDE . But perhaps mdk made a mistake by calling this a final edition instead of just a realese candidate. I'm still not clear what it really is? If you know then let us know. So when will Mandrake 10.1 be ready to download, I suspect will see it arround end of April for Mandrake Club members and arround mid May for non club members.
